Mr Loi holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Honors) from Nanyang Technological University, with over 20 years of experience tutoring in O Level, A Level and IB mathematics and physics. He adopts a step-by-step approach which emphasizes on a good understanding in the application of mathematical concepts instead of being overly fixated on arriving at the final answer, thereby building self-confidence and eventual mastery in these concepts.

A majority of his students have found him through word-of-mouth recommendation over the years- a testament to his guidance which has enabled his students’ improvement from fail grades to distinctions in their exams. Mr Loi hopes his students will understand through his lessons, that math should be learned through little adjustments of habits in thinking over time rather than rote learning or last minute struggles to clear accumulated doubts before major exams.
